Inazuma – The Shogunate of Eternity

Inazuma is an isolated archipelago inspired by feudal Japan, dominated by thunder, lightning, and the Electro element. Its culture is shaped by strict law, tradition, and loyalty to the Raiden Shogun (Ei), the Electro Archon. The region is known for its rigid governance, strict isolation, and pursuit of eternity, which contrasts sharply with Mondstadt’s freedom and Liyue’s prosperity.

Inazuma consists of multiple islands, each with unique features:

  • Narukami Island: The political center and home to Inazuma City, where the Shogun resides.

  • Kannazuka: Known for its mystical shrines and traditional villages.

  • Seirai Island: A storm-swept, dangerous island with violent winds and dark secrets.

  • Tatarasuna: An industrial area producing Electro-powered devices and hosting powerful enemies.

  • Yashiori Island: Known for its desolate landscape and resistance movement against the Shogun’s rule.

  • Watatsumi Island: A remote, oceanic island with the vibrant Sangonomiya clan, tied to marine life and rituals.

The islands are connected by bridges, boats, and teleport waypoints, but travel is often limited by the Shogunate’s strict regulations.

  • Inazuma is governed under a strict, authoritarian system, known as the Vision Hunt Decree, which seeks to confiscate Visions (elemental powers) to enforce the Shogun’s vision of eternity.

  • Citizens live under intense supervision, balancing respect for tradition with the risk of rebellion.

  • Festivals, rituals, and samurai codes play a central role in daily life.

  • The region is heavily influenced by the Electro element, which affects both technology and warfare.

Liyue – The Harbor of Contracts

Liyue is a bustling, harbor-rich nation inspired by Chinese culture, architecture, and traditions. Known for its commerce, mountains, and rich cultural heritage, Liyue is often described as the “land of contracts” because of its people’s strong belief in agreements, promises, and justice. It is ruled by the Geo Archon, Morax (also known as Zhongli).

Liyue is a diverse region, with towering mountains, deep rivers, and vast harbors:

  • Liyue Harbor: The main city and commercial hub, bustling with merchants, docks, and the harbor’s iconic Lantern Rite Festival.

  • Wangshu Inn: A mysterious inn perched atop a tall hill, serving as a waypoint for travelers and a place for rest and stories.

  • Jueyun Karst: A mountainous region filled with cliffs, waterfalls, and hidden secrets.

  • Qingce Village: A serene village surrounded by terraced fields, known for its beautiful scenery.

  • The Chasm: A mining area rich in ores but full of danger and mysterious energy.

  • Mt. Aozang: Home to mystical locations and challenging climbs for adventurers.

Liyue is defined by its steep cliffs, vibrant flora, and rivers, making exploration both rewarding and visually spectacular.

  • Liyue thrives on commerce, trade, and contracts, with merchants being central to daily life.

  • The Geo Archon (Morax/Zhongli) is revered for stability and wisdom, and the people celebrate him with rituals, festivals, and respect for tradition.

  • The city’s culture values honor, loyalty, and law, and citizens take contracts seriously, whether in business or personal agreements.

  • Festivals: The Lantern Rite Festival is the most famous, symbolizing prosperity, remembrance, and community.

Mondstadt – The City of Freedom

Mondstadt is a vibrant, open region in the northeast of Teyvat. Known as the “City of the Winds,” it is a land defined by freedom, music, and open skies. It was once part of the ancient nation of Khaenri’ah, though it avoided destruction during the Cataclysm. Today, it thrives as a free city under the protection of the Anemo Archon, Barbatos (Venti).

Mondstadt is a region of wide plains, rolling hills, rivers, and gentle breezes. Its varied landscape offers plenty for adventurers to explore:

  • City of Mondstadt: The capital city with cobblestone streets, taverns like the Angel’s Share, the Cathedral of Favonius, and residential areas.

  • Starfell Valley: Fertile farmland and vineyards, including Mondstadt’s famous Dandelion Wine orchards.

  • Windwail Highland: Known for gliding challenges and breathtaking vistas.

  • Stormbearer Mountains: Steep cliffs with challenging enemies and treasure domains.

  • Dragonspine: A snow-covered mountain in the south, filled with hidden relics, puzzles, and powerful monsters.

    • Mondstadt’s history is intertwined with Khaenri’ah, a godless nation destroyed 500 years ago by the gods. Mondstadt, however, was spared and grew independently.

    • The region worships Barbatos, the Anemo Archon, who once fought in battles to protect the city but now encourages freedom and self-expression rather than strict control.

    • The people of Mondstadt are inspired by legends, music, and art, reflecting a society that values joy, liberty, and creativity.

    • Ancient ruins, like the Temple of the Falcon and scattered domains, hint at Mondstadt’s connection to older civilizations and lingering mysteries of Teyvat’s past.

      • Citizens cherish freedom and individuality, often celebrating life through music, festivals, and wine.

      • Festivals like the Windblume Festival honor the winds and the joy of life, featuring games, performances, and storytelling.

      • Knights of Favonius maintain peace but do not impose harsh rules—they serve the people and safeguard freedom.

      • Music is central to daily life; bards like Venti inspire and uplift the community.
