Recent & Upcoming Updates

Version Luna III (6.2) — arriving December 3, 2025

• The new update brings two new playable characters: Durin (5★, Pyro, sword) and Jahoda (4★, Anemo, bow). 

• Several existing characters get major buffs under the new “Hexerei” system, aiming to rebalance older favourites and make them more viable in the current meta. 

• The update includes new banners, weapons (including a new signature sword for Durin), and likely some in-game events tied to the new patch. 

Balance updates for older characters (PS5 / general)

• The game is giving buffs to some of its classic characters — to counter “power creep,” and give long-time players better options.

End of support for PS4 version

• The developers announced that support and updates for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will end in April 2026. Players on PS4 are encouraged to migrate to newer platforms (PC / PS5 / mobile / etc.) to continue receiving updates.

Ongoing live-service and lore expansion (Nod-Krai region)

• The most recent major region addition was Nod-Krai, which expanded the world of Teyvat and brought new storylines, factions, and exploration opportunities.

• The “Luna” update series continues the storyline in Nod-Krai, with new quests, events, and narrative content for players following the main story.
